Infractus . . . Get ready for it!

We are very excited to reveal the cover for upcoming Dystopian Fantasy Infractus and welcome its author, Sarah L. Johnson, to Driven Press. This amazing story will be released October 1, 2017.

Blurb

The end of the world begins with a baby.

Abandoned as a newborn, a boy grows up in an orphanage. No one knows who he is or where he came from . . . except for an invisible presence that steals his sleep and gobbles his dreams.

The boy roams the city, a mouse on the streets of Vancouver, living by his own rules under the wing of a charismatic grifter. When a terrorist attack destroys the global supply chain, it turns cities into wastelands. Society bleeds into anarchy, and to survive, his rules need to change.

Panopticon rises to power, a shadow regime exercising control through surveillance and the occasional act of erasure. The mouse is now a man, recruited as an invisible assassin in their fishbowl world. It’s an almost perfect life for him, becoming whoever they need him to be. Until he’s nearly decapitated by a strange woman with an even stranger proclamation of looming Armageddon. She offers him a choice: help her destroy Panopticon or watch the world sink into oblivion.

The assassin is used to being alone--prefers it actually--after all, he’s been a very bad man, but somehow along the way he’s accumulated a bunch of misfits he’s started to care about.

In the shadows, the presence has bided its time, armed with a secret. A name that will invite a reckoning.
